Check in, post a giveaway
Didn’t I just have that “[raffle] for goodsky.ctrl.li” recently? Why is it that so many people participate in your raffles, but there are only a few in mine?
There are so many free subdomains—who even cares? What you’re giving away is goodsky.ctrl.li, not ctrl.li.
It’s just because that one is useless…
If you just send out a red envelope with 8.8 yuan or more, people will definitely join the lottery. Free stuff doesn’t attract much interest; if the prize is worth more, people are more likely to spend big to enter. For example, if you offer an Oracle account with a server today, someone would go all-in for it, believe me. ![]()
Lottery
I can’t set up an Oracle Cloud server because I don’t have a bank card, so I can’t do it.
Haha, just to give you an example, but is there much use for nl here? Besides the raffles, I can’t even find the official web page to redeem API credits anymore.
Here’s a summary:
Post a giveaway
There’s a node for the nl route, and I’ve made a post in it explaining everything.
Would the former be considered a second-level domain and the latter a first-level domain? So does that mean .com and .org are top-level domains? I always thought that only xxx.com counted as a second-level domain ![]()
Well, put another way: the suffix of a domain you purchase from a registrar is called a Top-Level Domain (TLD), such as .com.
However, the suffix of those free domains is always a Second-Level Domain (i.e., structured like .xxx.com).
