Synopsis
Adapted from writer Lin Liqing’s bestselling novel of the same name, this is the first major drama filmed entirely on a real construction site! Ironworkers A-Qi and A-Qin, formwork worker Chang-zai, and excavator operator A-Quan are friends who dream of striking it rich. Together, they act out one absurd and hilarious get-rich scheme after another on the construction site, with their strange dreams reflecting the various hardships they face. They dream, see their dreams shattered, and then return with renewed passion to try again… With the Pulongong spirit, they push forward undefeated through the dust. Moving from one site and fence to another, they build houses for others while they can only gaze at the buildings and sigh. Struggling with all kinds of problems in life, they work hard to live in their own way. But no matter how optimistic they are, if everything they hope for keeps going awry, how can they keep going?
