Synopsis
At the beginning of this century, street robberies were rampant, leaving people constantly on edge. The Foshan Public Security Bureau established the country’s first specialized police unit dedicated to combating street snatch-and-grab and robbery crimes—the Eighth Criminal Investigation Brigade. Deputy captain Lin Wei led his team on motorcycles to the front line, engaging in an eleven-year life-and-death pursuit of motorcycle-riding robbers. During that time, the Eighth Brigade apprehended more than 20,000 suspects, while Lin Wei was injured over 30 times, suffering serious injuries on several occasions. He once fell from an elevated highway yet still remained at his post. Using a realistic style, the film recreates dangerous manhunts and arrest scenes, portrays the fearless dedication of the police, and tenderly depicts the quiet, everyday devotion of police wives waiting for their husbands. It pays authentic tribute to the public security heroes who protect the safety of countless families with their own flesh and blood.
